Winemaker: Sabino Russo
From rolling Tuscan vineyards with vines planted around 15 years ago, harvest is by hand in September. After destemming, the grapes are crushed and the juice fermented for 12 days in stainless steel at a controlled 18-23°C. The wine completes a malolactic fermentation and has some lees contact to add to aromas and richness of flavours.
Ruby-red with purple hues, this Chianti has a typically intensely fruity nose with hints of violets. The wine is dry and smooth, with bright, zesty notes of cherry and berry fruit.
A perfect match to risotto and a tasty lasagne.
