Clásica – Tempranillo 2014
Vino de la Tierra de Castilla – Spain
A classic Spanish red, full of character and warmth. Vineyards located in the historic Castilla region supply the ripe grapes to produce this delicious wine.
Producer – Bodegas Navalon
A family owned bodega, part of a company that was originally founded at the start of the 20th Century by Don Juan Sánchez. He was a small landowner who decided to build a modest winery to make his own wine, rather than selling the grapes to others.
The grapes were hand-picked at the end of August through to the beginning of September. The ideal ripeness levels are determined by the technical department at the winery. Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature. The wine undergoes malolactic fermentation and is bottled without oak ageing to retain freshness.
Bright ruby colour. Fruity, soft and spicy with berry and plum flavours and a long, fresh finish.
Enjoy with grilled meats, tapas and mild cheeses.
